Admission Arrangements

‘Typically, the school fosters excellent relationships between pupils and teachers, and pupils learn well from each other.’ OFSTED 2014

The School is able to admit up to sixty pupils per year group due to expansion in September 2016. There is no selection of pupils. Applications are via the Local Authority.
Reception Admissions - The deadline for Reception application to be received by the LA is normally early January, during the year your child is due to start school.
The LA is required by law to co-ordinate admissions to all infant, junior and primary schools in the borough. Places are allocated by applying the following criteria:

  • Looked after children
  • Exceptional medical or exceptional social grounds
  • The attendance at the school of an older sibling.
  • The distance of the home address from the school

To help guide you through the admission process the LA have produced a brochure which is available to download from the Havering website (www.havering.gov.uk/admissions) called ‘Starting School in Havering’. Applications from a place at the school should be made via the Havering website on www.havering.gov.uk/admissions. If you are unable to access the website you can obtain a Common Application Form from the school office.

For admission to year groups other than Reception, parents should contact the LA directly and need to complete an ICAF Form. The ICAF is available for parents to download online via www.havering.gov.uk/admissions and there is also a very useful booklet called “finding a school place” which parents are encouraged to view before making an application. Once the LA has advised us you have accepted the place we will contact you to arrange a visit.
